But rolling two dice instead of one is not the best way to make the episode choice. A 1d20 would call for you to watch the second episode 5% (1/20) of the time and episode 9 also 5% of the time.
Rolling 2d8 means you’ll be watching episode 2 only 1.56% of the time (this is the probability of rolling two 1s), but episode 9 12.5% of the time. The discrepancy arises because there is only one way to achieve 2 on 2d8 (1 and 1), but many ways to achieve 9 (1 and 8, 2 and 7, 3 and 6,…).
