Episode 7 – Lost Weekend

Today our intrepid hosts find themselves dipping into the black hole of 5th season for the first time.  Listen to them struggle to suspend disbelief as they try to figure out wtf the writers were thinking when this entire season was conceived.  Thank goodness for Busy Phillips who makes everything better. This episode of struggles with poor audio, so it’s coming out on Friday as a bonus episode.   It still has quality content, but apologies in advance for the sound quality, particularly in the middle bits as we got comfortable and our mic’s dipped further from our slack-jawed, moronic faces. http://media.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/p/content.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/CotW-007_5x02_1_.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | DownloadSubscribe:...

Episode 6 – The Northern Lights

Welcome back to Capeside, kids.   In this episode, Pacey has stage fright and can only find comfort in his soon-to-be-acknowledged true love, Joey.  Meanwhile Joey has a date with the most punchable college boy around.  Jen gets wooed by the poor-man’s Leo Dicaprio.  Also, Dawson is in this episode.  It’s a mid-season filler ep with no real content to speak of, but your brave hosts muscle through and try to make it listenable for you.  Be sure to follow us on twitter @talkindawson, and be sure to tweet @ace_collins and tell him how dumb he is for refusing to watch Buffy. On a production note, this episode is dropping slightly out of recorded order, the one we recorded prior to this had some quality issues, and will be released as a bonus ep at the end of the week.  Henceforth, Wednesday should be our standard day of release, with occasional extra shows on Friday.  Thanks for listening, downloading, and subscribing! http://media.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/p/content.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/CotW-006_3x13_1_.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | DownloadSubscribe:...

Episode 5 – Mind Games

On this week’s episode, Joey tries to deal with the fact that she is FOUL AND IMPURE, Pacey tries to figure out more ways to befoul her, Dawson is feeling inadequate being 17 and dating a 35 year old, Jen is crushing on her shrink, and Jack is the only likeable character.  Meanwhile your hosts struggle with sound quality and the concept of the Gambler’s Fallacy, or rather Eric struggles, and Josh struggles with not strangling him.  Tune in! Apolgies for the quality, we’re still figuring out our equipment and mic technique.   We will get better! http://media.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/p/content.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/CotW-005_4x16_1_2_.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | DownloadSubscribe:...

Episode 4 – The Hurricane

Today’s Creek of the Week offering is a first season classic.   The Gang is all trapped inside as a hurricane ravages Capeside.  However, one could say the storm brewing OUTSIDE aint got nothing on the storm brewing INSIDE.  Get it?  Like not a literal storm inside but a metaphorical one?  You get it.  Good one.  Also the most badass line in Dawson’s Creek history is uttered by King Badass himself, Mitch Leery.   Meanwhile your hosts talk about upgrades they would make to Dawson’s kitchen, and other inane drivel.  Enjoy! http://media.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/p/content.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/CotW-004_1x05_1_.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | DownloadSubscribe:...

Episode 3: Rest in Peace

Episode 3 of the podcast takes a more somber turn, as the gang is forced to say goodbye to the season’s prime antagonist, Abby Morgan.  Jen has a bit of a breakdown after losing her “friend”.  And the rest of the gang deals with the complex emotions that arise from dealing with the fact that they have no complex emotions about the death of their classmate.  Meanwhile, your hosts try to set a record for the number of F-bombs dropped in a single podcast. http://media.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/p/content.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/CotW-003_2x19_1_.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | DownloadSubscribe:...

Episode 2: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

On this episode of Creek of the Week, we randomly generate a gem from the tail end of our beloved series.  Season 6, episode 21 Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, in which Pacey feels the pang of regret, Dawson feels the old familiar sting of betrayal, Jen feels the sad satisfacton of reuniting her family (under unhappy circumstances) Joey has several strokes, Audrey regales us with a timeless Zakk Wylde ballad, and Dean Winchester stops by to say hello. http://media.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/p/content.blubrry.com/creekoftheweek/CotW-002_6x21_1_.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | DownloadSubscribe:...
