This is our second jaunt through the Psychic Friends episode, and this time we go a little bit deeper. Quick recap: Dawson’s making a bad movie and trying to impress his smokin’ hot teacher. Joey and Jack are friends (not lovers) and Joey is trying to suck some face. Pacey and Andie are being their awesome selves, and Jen is, once again, trying to get her grandmother laid, a weirdly recurring theme. Most importantly, there is a psychic on the loose and she’s causing all sorts of problems with the kids. This week we are revisiting the finale episode of the first wonderful season of Dawson’s Creek. The end of the beginning. The begending. Joey might be going to Paris, but first she has to visit her dad in prison. Dawson is conflicted and takes her there. Jen’s grandpa is back up 🙂 then he’s back down :(. And Pacey gets to help Joey out when she needs to head back up to the pen for a followup visit with Daddy. This is a fantastic episode of 90s television that we have playing in the background while we act like absolute idiots and scream obscenities into microphones. Some episodes we are really into the show and provide a heartfelt commentary. Some episodes we are a little punch drunk, perhaps a little actual drunk, and things just go off the rails. On this very special Creek of the Week, we invite our first Guest Host and watch an incredible episode of Dawson’s Creek. Kelly, the self-proclaimed biggest Dawson’s Creek fan in the world, asked to come on, and since we have an open-door policy, we went for it. As for the episode, it’s a great one. Jen is back in her bad-girl phase, and Dawson is keeping an eye on her while she makes some pretty big mistakes. Pacey and Andie are dealing with the horrors of mental illness, and Jack is seducing Joey in a desperate bid to convince himself he likes girls. Everybody is being heroic, including Mitch Mother-effing Leery in his swank bachelor pad. This episode is crammed with awesome. Big thanks to Kelly for joining us and being our guinea pig!
