Episode 66 – The Dance
This episode is chock full of references to the cancelled ABC Family series Bunheads, and Garth Brooks. So if you’re a fan of those two things you are in for a treat. Thankfully there’s a lot for the rest of us to soak in as well! The Dance finds the gang considering going to their first high school dance. Dawson and Joey are together, Pacey and Andie are basically together, but what about Jen? This sounds like a prime chance for busy body Andie to set her brother up with the hot girl next door. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to anyone else, Jack is into Joey. Folks, it’s a mess. Bonus Episode! The good episodes in Season 6 of Dawson’s Creek can be few and far between at times. Fortunately, we stumbled upon one we really enjoyed. Basically Audrey just got dumped by Pacey and is beginning her downward spiral. She gets hammered, makes a scene, rightfully points out that Joey is a… less-than-attentive friend, and stirs up a mess of drama. Meanwhile Jack is beginning a new relationship while sort of ending an old one. Jen is also trying to start a new relationship and having mixed results. Pacey is in New Orleans with a super attractive young lady who may or may not be receiving compensation for her companionship. Dawson… is not here. We did it, everyone. We caught one of the big ones. Anti prom is the second to last episode of Season 3, and sets the finale up beautifully. It starts off with the jerks at Capeside High not allowing Jack to attend the prom with his new boyfriend, so the gang throws their own prom at the Leery restaurant. Things seem to be going great, but as we know, when there’s a school dance in Capeside, stuff goes down. Hard. Joey goes with Dawson but pines for Pacey. Pacey goes with Andie but longs for Joey. Dawson yearns to have his soulmate back, Andie yearns to be with her first love again. Jack and Eyebrows McHotstuff are falling for each other but being gay is hard. Jen and Poor-man’s-Leo-DiCaprio are fighting too! This is why we’re here, tears and laughs and love and angst! This is Creek Prime! Grams has the woman problems, and unbeknownst to her, Jen invited her mother (Gram’s daughter) to the house for a powow. Joey is just wandering around lookin’ totes adorbs.
